By Train

Leave the Winchester Train Station. If you are coming from London (Platform 2) you will exit at the front of the station. If you are arriving from Portsmouth or Southampton (Platform 1) you will need to go down stairs and right through the under pass bringing you to the front. Taxis * are usually available at the rank in front of the station, or if you would prefer to walk there is a shortcut - go left, by the phone box, across the railway bridge and into the station car park. Walk through the car park and turn left up Andover Road. Continue on this road passing the Jolly Farmer. As you begin to walk down the hill you will see a turn on your right for Winton Close; the driveway for Beaconsfield House is immediately after this on your right.

By Bus

Buses are frequent on the route to Beaconsfield House and can be caught either at the Bus Station or in City Road (just down Station Hill and across the road via an underpass).

Buses on this route are:

No. 7 (Winchester – Littleton – Sparsholt) leaving from Bay D in the Bus Station – 10 minutes past the hour; C Stop in City Road.

No. 86 (Winchester – Whitchurch – Basingstoke) leaving from Bay H in the Bus Station – 15 minutes past the hour; C Stop in City Road.

In both cases ask for The Jolly Farmer Stop and continue towards Beaconsfield House as above.

By Road

If you are arriving via the M3. Leave the M3 at junction 9 (roundabout) take the first exit signposted Winchester and Winnall Trading Estate.

At the next roundabout take the second exit down Easton Lane. Follow the road down the hill. At the bottom of the hill you will pass two public houses -  The First In Last Out and The Ship. Shortly after this the road curves round and you will cross over a bridge.

You will reach a junction to join the one way system; keep in the right hand lane. Follow the one way system round staying in the right hand lane.

You will reach a set of traffic lights at the top of St George's Street; turning right onto Jewry Street the road splits into three. Keep in the far left lane, you will pass the Theatre Royal and go through a set of traffic lights bearing left.

The next road City Road splits into two take the right hand lane. At the next set of traffic lights turn right into Andover Road. Continue on this road. You will pass The Jolly Farmer on your left, Winton Close on your right. Beaconsfield House is the driveway immediately after this on the right.

We have two dedicated disabled parking spaces at Beaconsfield House; bicycles can be parked safely.

If you are arriving via the A34. Leave the A34 and at the first roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the B3420 signposted Winchester, at the second roundabout called Three Maids Hill, take the second exit left signposted Winchester. Continue down this road on your left there is a turning for Park Road the driveway for Beaconsfield House is immediately after this on the left.
