Welcome to Community Action in Portsmouth

A brand new service in Portsmouth working to ensure the ‘voice’ of the many voluntary and community groups and organisations that support the most vulnerable people in Portsmouth will be heard.

Working on behalf of Portsmouth City Council (PCC), Community Action Hampshire (CAH) has branched out with Community Action in Portsmouth (CAP) – providing the diverse voluntary and community organisations and groups in the city with high quality and accessible support to help them strengthen and thrive.

We are passionate to make CAP work because we believe in what you do!

We have the potential to deliver training that you want.  We want to offer an easy to use and understand free* service offering information that is relevant so tell us what you need!

Some suggestions could be:

• How to put on a fundraising event
• Getting the most out of your volunteers
• Business planning
• First steps in commission and procurement
• Legislation, policy and practice

We would look at using some of the existing large organisations to help us facilitate this be using their expertise to deliver this information.
